day 2 vlcd.....

Hey there! Well I have lost 3.5 lbs. the first day of vlcd bringing me to a loss of 5.5 lbs so far, the scale said 156 this morning... not too shabby! Well let me tell you, 500 cals. is not a whole lot! LOL I was ready for my first apple @ 10, and lunch was just before noon, second apple just after 4, and dinner at 6. Around 9 PM I really wanted something to eat, so I have my new favorite snack... half of a cucumber all sliced up (skin on) with salt, lime, and the green Tabasco sauce... YUMMY!! Totally did the trick, and at only 23 calories I'm not complaining, it was really Delicious! I was never really starving, but I was ready every time to eat, for sure! My BF (who has lost 4 lbs.)got a hunger headache mid afternoon, but like I said he works out like a crazy man, pull ups, jogging, boxing workout all yesterday! lunch was chicken breast, with spinach, and dinner was chicken breast with green beans. It felt good to eat healthy and tasted wonderful!

I'm a little confused on the calorie count though... everywhere I looked calories were all across the board on chicken breast, I saw 30, 41, and up to 50 cals per ounce, now when you are on a low cal diet those counts matter!!
Do the math with me, this is not making sense... and I even cut out the Melba toast because of it!
We will go middle of the road on the calories and say 41 cals per oz of chicken

3.5 oz chicken 143.5 cal
veggie 30 cal
apple 80 cal
equals 253.5 calories
repeat this same calorie count for dinner and you are at 507 calories for the day... no room for Melba anyway! Input much appreciated!! If you add in my snack at 23 calories I'm at 530 calories for the day. Hmmm

I did really great on my fluid intake, but I was having to urinate very often!! I will say that 30 calories of veggies is not a big serving at all, about a half cup or so! I really wanted more veggies! Today I will try a big lettuce salad with dressing made of apple cider vinegar, lemon and pepper.. I need a little more volume and lettuce is only 10 cals per head!

I didn't sleep very well at all last night, not sure why, maybe just excited about the skinny future perhaps... anyway morning coffee with only 1 tbsp of milk and stevia sucks, compared to half and half and real sugar, but oh well, its a small price to pay! I am enjoying the iced tea with lemon and stevia though.... can't tell the difference from real sugar in that! I will blog tomorrow.. have a great day!
