VLCD (very low calorie diet ) day 1

Well I am a ready for this VLCD to start!!! I did my best on the gorging part, but it seems I lost 2 lbs. anyway!! Hmmm, not sure what to think about that, seriously folks, I ate Mozzarella sticks, Cheetos, pulled pork, drank 3 22oz Blue Moon beers, donuts, french fries, brisket, hummus and tabbouleh
..... I dunno!! I don't think I will be hungry on this diet, but I can tell you I will miss drinking beer.... I LOVE beer, my friends!! I will just think of it as a temporary break up...LOL.

I wanted to back up and mention a little about what this whole HCG protocol is. HCG ( Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is a hormone found in a pregnant woman's urine, when this hormone is injected or taken homeopathically in sublingual drops for someone following this protocol, it speeds up the bodies metabolism, while on this protocol (future terminology.... diet) you are restricted to a very specific diet of 500 calories a day, now this by itself sounds dangerous, and ANYONE would lose weight by only eating 500 cals. a day, but on this diet with the hormone HCG, the body uses 1500 to up to 4000 calories of your stored fat for fuel, and not the good fat on your body, it leaves the healthy good fat and healthy muscle alone, while attacking belly fat, saddlebags, love handles, and big ole booties! This is how it works, the first 2 days of taking the HCG are gorging days, eat and drink what you like, as much as you like, starting the 3rd day the 500 cal protocol kicks in, very strict, coffee or tea for breakfast, 1 tablespoon of milk only in a 24 hour period allowed, no sugar or sugar substitute allowed, stevia is a natural sweetener that is allowed found in health food places or health food parts of grocery stores.
Lunch is 100 grams (3.5 oz) of lean chicken breast, veal, beef, fresh white fish with no visible fat, with a veggie, see http://www.hcgdietinfo.com/ for full list of approved veggies, and a snack is an apple, orange, half grapefruit, handful of strawberries. Dinner is the same combination as lunch.

this is repeated for 21 days while taking HCG, after the 21 days, the HCG is not taken anymore but the diet is followed for 2 more days with the 500 cal diet, this takes you to your 25th day .. after that 3 weeks of anything you want but no starch or sugar in any form! This resets your hypothalamus, I will research hypothalamus today and fill you in more on that tomorrow, but I just know its good to have it reset! You can do another "round" of HCG to lose more weight,but you need to wait 6 weeks in between because you build an immunity to HCG.

So, today I start the real protocol, 500 calories BABY!! It is my hope that I can help someone through this journey as other blogs that I came across while researching this diet helped me!!
